This workshop is designed to give you a foundation to express your teaching philosophies and begin to build a professional teaching dossier. Participants will gain tools and strategies to craft an effective teaching philosophy statement and prepare a draft outline in the workshop. Additionally, the overall format of professional teaching dossiers will be discussed as well as the various materials and experiences you can collect and document to include in your dossier. This workshop is open to all graduate students and postdoctoral fellows, it is a requirement for completion of the University Teaching Certificate (UTC) and also supports the ASPIRE program. A follow-up workshop will take place on November 24th providing the opportunity for you to receive feedback on your teaching philosophy statement draft and further discuss your dossier.
